Inspirational Pottery

You know how when someone accidentally breaks a vase? It is lying in pieces on the floor with those little invisibly sharp bits hiding in the carpet (just waiting for you to step on them.)  Even if you grab your super glue and start fitting the broken pieces back into vase form, not every piece will be completely as it was before.  There will still be small cracks that catch your skin and prick a little as you run your hands across the once-smooth surface.  The vase is no longer in pieces, it has recovered from its fall, but it still hurts a little.

But maybe, with enough care and enough time, experiences and love sanding down the rough edges, the small hurts will subside and the vase will become smooth once again.
