For this month of June and the first week of July, I am living in Colorado with my Grandpa. Its really beautiful here with the mountains and cute shops everywhere. Ive been trying my hand at learning to drive a stick shift too. I have this ancient Jeep Wrangler (without air conditioning and with an old leather top with zip up plastic windows) that I drive up and down the mountain every day...and..since its the only car I have here and its a stick....I supposed I had better learn to drive it. I'm not doing too horribly either. Ive only killed it a few times, and only once in traffic. The clutch took me a while. Oh....its so evil in first gear. And I try to avoid highways. haha. Buuttt...as I said, its great here.
For those who dont know, I moved last week. Well, I should say that my family moved and I am in the middle of moving (The CO thing....) I really am missing everyone back home. All the friends and family I have ever had (besides my Grandpa and Aunt) are in other states right now. Some I may never see again on this earth. Wow . Its so hard to comprehend that I wont be going back to my own house, hanging out at Sherris until midnight, and driving down to Pauls market on some sunny summer day to buy various gorcery items for Mom. I miss my life. And I know that my life isnt over, its just beginning a new chapter, but I dont want this part of the story to end yet.
I did find out today who my roommate is going to be for college this Fall. To be honest, i'm a little nervous about what she'll be like. Ive heard so many roommate horror stories. haha. The messy roommate, the clingy-borrower roommate, the evil roommate, the partier etc. But she's probably just as worried about me. = P
So, I'll fly out to Mississippi A few days before Orientation and then begin that huge step known as College. Wow. I really am excited. Its going to be so much fun and a huge experience. Go MC! Go Choctaws!
