I have now attempted to find the Mall twice. I have succeeded in getting myself lost both times. I have had a map and thorough directions both times as well. I guess i'm not good at navigating the roads around here. However, I have seen some really interesting places that way. Once, I ended up at this little run down gas station on the outskirts of Jackson. It was the type of place you might think of when you hear of someone getting "shanked". Being a white girl by myself, I didnt stop. That was an adventure.
Since I cant fnid the Mall, in the lack of things to do, I have decided that I will get in shape. Well, try a little harder at it anyway. So, Ive been doing some yoga and running. Ive also been researching on what is and what isnt healthy. After looking around Ive decided (at least temporarily) that I'm going to try not to eat ham, or drink milk, and cut out a lot of sugar. Suprisingly, milk isnt that good for you. Neither is pork. We all know that sugar isnt. So, we'll see how that goes. I'm really liking the yoga. Its fun, it feels great and my waistline is loving it! haha Maybe I can find a class around here. I dont think the college's health center offers that type of class. They DO offer Tai Chi though! But from what my brother says, its a mixture of karate and yoga. It sounds like the type of martial arts that Karate Kid did for training. hah
Not suprisingly, my sister calls me a hippie even more than usual now. Why she gets that impression? You got me. Go figure.
College is 21 days away! I have to start collecting this and that for my dorm room. There is an ever expanding list of what I need to buy. And oh my...text books are crazy expensive! I found some for a bit less though on Half.com. Thank goodness for ebay. Too bad they charge you a good percentage to sell on there now though.
As of now, my major is Nursing. I'll have some very interesting classes in the future if I stick with this major. Like, clinical training. Microbiology. Maybe even a medical mission trip to Mexico. I really hope I get to do that! How amazing would that be! = )
And no, I will not be touching dead bodies. For anyone who happened to be wondering.
