Training for a new job is tough. I hate feeling like the newbie anyway, but making mistakes in a rushed environment on top of that is horrible. I mean, its a fun job...I think I will really enjoy it once I get the hang of things.
Today I was shadowing a server. He had too many tables and decided to have me help him by taking order and greeting tables. I didn't really know what to do, so I fumbled my way through a few before asking him to help me. It was slightly embarrassing. He walked so fast, too! He was tall, and I am...not. So, I had to book it to keep up with him. But I think I did a decent job. : ) After a few hours of running around with him, serving drinks, carrying trays, and refilling salad and bread sticks, I actually got pretty good at the basics. I even took care of my "own" table: orders and everything. I'm still a little nervous about carrying huge, heavy trays though. But after this bit of practice, I will no longer be so nervous I shake. haha. That's is a definite plus (and will probably help when carrying the aforementioned trays)
My job will be awesome
On a different (but equally passionate) note: I love my friends! :)
Being around people always changes you, for the good or for the worse. I am so thankful that my friends are encouraging and I just plain love being around them. It is hard to find true friends, so I consider myself blessed. Thank you *majorly humongous hug*

Will, the trouble with that plan is that.....you don't know my schedule without asking me. muahahaha
